On the afternoon of May 29, Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), together with its member company Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC), held a working session with Hateco Group to discuss potential cooperation in supplying technical rubber products for the Lien Chieu Container Port megaproject in Da Nang.
Attending the meeting on behalf of Vinachem were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, General Director of the Group, along with representatives of several functional departments. Representing DRC were Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, General Director, and Mr. Van Trung Tam, Deputy General Director. On behalf of Hateco Group, Mr. Tran Van Ky, Chairman of the Board of Directors, together with the Group’s management team and staff, attended the meeting.
During the session, the parties discussed the demand for technical rubber products for a large-scale, modern seaport project – one of the key infrastructure developments in Central Vietnam, envisioned to become a major logistics and maritime hub for the region.
Representatives of DRC introduced the Company’s manufacturing capabilities and specialized technical rubber product lines serving port infrastructure, maritime applications, and heavy industries. With more than 50 years of experience in the rubber industry, DRC operates a modern manufacturing system capable of meeting the stringent technical requirements of major domestic and international projects.
In particular, DRC possesses strong expertise in the production of specialized products such as marine fenders, bridge bearings, and other technical rubber components for ports and marine structures, offering high durability, excellent load-bearing capacity, and outstanding performance in demanding operating environments.
The leadership of both sides highly appreciated the potential for future cooperation. The use of products manufactured by Vietnamese enterprises not only contributes to increasing localization rates in major infrastructure projects but also demonstrates the capabilities of Vietnam’s industrial sector in delivering modern, large-scale developments.
The cooperation between Hateco Group, Vinachem, and its member company DRC is expected to contribute to the development of logistics and maritime infrastructure while further enhancing the reputation and competitiveness of Vietnamese industrial products in the market.
